My manual box has been having trouble getting into gear (esp 1st and 2nd and especially when warm) Without the engine running it selects okay, even tho even this gets more difficult if the engine is warm.
Have changed the clutch but still not fixed the problem, and so am looking to source some bushes for both ends of the linkage assembly as they seem to have some play in them and may solve the problem.
Scared that the next stop is a new gearbox (aaargh) or some such fiscally painful measure if the bushes dont work.
Does anyone have any experience of this problem - or easily sourced parts (ie the bushes) for one of these rare, manual boxes?
manual gearbox problems - pleeeeeeease help

Well apart from the obvious of checking fluid level when warm and that there are no obstructions fallen down the gear selector it would seem prudent to have it checked professionally, why not ask alocal specialist for a check, might not cost much and could be something simple. Good luck anyway. Happy motoring.
