Elevating roof tension - short and succinct!

Post by RobnKathryn » Sun Aug 06, 2006 10:55 pm

The aluminium top frame of my roof tent has parted company with the roof at most fitting points. I think I can fix this but am worried that the tension in the roof tent will cause the problem to reccur.

When fully raised the tent is very very tight. Is anyone aware of a way of adjusting the raising mechanism so it doesn't go up quite as far, thereby reducing tension in the tent and in the owner?

Thanks.......Rob

we tend to unzip ours when we put it away, as we've managed to put a small tear in it so we're a bit more careful now, this seems to let the roof go up a bit easier too, which is helpful as we now have a roofbox on it permanently.. maybe this would help your situation a bit?
