No, but my gliding club (Oxford GC, best club in the world, up there with Bongo peeps) will. Look out for our T21 'Daisy' somewhere in the static displays. Done in RAF training colours and looks like this:HangTen wrote:I'll be camping at Totterdown Farm from 14th to 19th July for RIAT ...... will anyone else from here be there?

Must be one of our pilots too as I do believe he's making a rude sign

Is that an aged Slingsby'Sedburgh?
I think we used to use them in the Air Cadets back in the '70s - They were quite the cutting edge thing back then!!

Happy Days all round. I think I must be Mister Munkey in a parallel universe as I first flew with the cadets in a Chippie back in c1966 from.......yes you've guessed........Manston. And yes, its a Sedburgh, the first glider I ever flew in, back in c1968, from Challock in Kent. I'd love to fly in a Cadet (hmmm is it dodgy saying that these daysmister munkey wrote:Getting back on topic soon but in the meantime . . . .

Wish I was going to RIAT - must get out more

PS - I have a Laser 90 motor 4-stroke motor and the plan and all the bits for making a 1/4 scale Chippie, though I doubt I'll ever get a round tuit. DH are my favourite plane maker.
Re: RIAT ~ Royal International Air Tattoo
Ah ... the good old Chippie .... I too have fond memories of 'Air Experience' flights with the ATC (455 Sqn, Morecambe & Heysham) in them, back in the mid-60's, but mine were out of RAF Woodvale (near Southport) ..... aerobatics over Southport beach, those were the days
