Bongo mod register..

Re: Bongo mod register..
Never thought of contributing to this thread... Until now!
I pretty much have my van how i want it, so i'll run my list off...
Remote central locking alarm immobilizer.. Functions include...
Button-less/proximity opening/arming feature, the fob lets me know of alarm trigger, interior micro wave sensor, I rigged a panic mode too so every thing locks up & windows roll up at the push of a button!
All doors & bonnet triggered & self powered if the battery's cut!
Auto widow roll up on locking should they be left down.
Auto mirror closure on locking.. (They open on starting the ignition.)
If the blinds are down.? The sliding door blind rolls up on opening to allow passengers access. It also flashes the blue leds in the back.. (Well, i did have a spare channel on the closure unit, so i thought i'd experiment.)
MX6 cab light with extra sunroof switch. (Save me fumbling for the original behind me.) Both operate the sun roof.
The plasma dial kit with a Mazda dimer for a more factory look.
Volt meter dial & pod fitted to A pillar. (adjustable to suit driving position.)
Led set in grab handle recesses.
Glove box light comes on when open.
Back light for the cigarette lighter & driver window switch.
Silent beep mode for the campsites. Extra reverse light. (No more backing over tents!)
Rear speakers.. (There weren't none.)
Grill mesh lower bumper.. (Cheers Kirsty for the mesh!)
& my mid bumper mini spots!!

Do you think this could catch on?

I must admit, i did a little research on this...
My previous alarm was a Sparkrite system, which i had hanging around the garage with the intention of fitting to my previous vehicle.. After an apprenticeship fitting the Sparkrite into the Bongo it died after 9 months!
Now the Sparkrite system had ultrasonic sensors & i found them unreliable... (false alarms.)
The new system (Which i had installed 2 years ago?) i cant really fault.. (I wont name it for security reasons.)
The microwave interior sensor is used mainly on soft tops.. If you have an aft or curtains? (Especially if you arm with the aft up.) Go for a microwave sensor for interior alarm coverage..
I had since found out they are best placed horizontal... I put mine under the rear end of the center console... Which by happy accident is the best place to put it!

Just don't leave it armed with the sunroof open on an Italian camp site when you go off for a walk, as it could get annoying for your neighbours when it keeps going off thanks to the monster hornetsjaylee wrote: The new system (Which i had installed 2 years ago?) i cant really fault.. You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Hi All,
Thought i would add my little baby here, not much pimping done yet!, but will be nice to look back at her in a few months...
Here is my 1995 2.5TD AFT Bongo.
I have added a few things such as a new CD/DVD system and TM2 Alarm:
And Zenon sidelights and Audi Style Daytime running LED's just below the headlights:
Also, i am currently half way through fabricating a flip-down rear monitor install. I am taking pictures step by step and will post them up when in and working (If!..lol)
Hope you like her and she will be seeing a few of you soon in some meets hopefully!

Hats off to you jaylee, thats what I call pimping, just wish I had your knowledge on car electric's. Just love the idea of self closing windows, blinds, opening and closeing mirrors all just by turning the ignition switch, and the silent beeper for when at camp sites, just brll
