Bored with Butties phase 14
This is another one not for the squeamish, I’m afraid, but don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.
Ever wondered why seagulls go crazy for razor clams? No, me neither But this is a great idea for all those delights you found on Rhyl beach at the weekend
Razor clams, chorizo, prawns, garlic, chilli & parsley
Don’t they look appetising?
Fry the chorizo in a little olive oil....
....followed by the prawns, garlic, & chilli....
Transfer to a larger frying pan due to a slight miscalculation and add the clams & some white wine as in all the best recipes, then add the parsley and season with salt and pepper.
Erm, I think ‘interesting’ would be the best way of describing this
Luckily enough there are some razor clams left, so anyone camping overnight at Tackeroo this weekend may get more than they bargained for

But why else would I lovingly craft something like that of a lunchtime?debbiepritch wrote:omg please tell me you didn't really eat that???

Actually I did an internet search and there seemed to be considerable doubt whether you're supposed to eat it all but no consensus on which bits to leave (apart from the shell )
Some said the grey bit in the middle was the stomach and full of part-digested food, teeth and other waste matter
I did, however, mutilate and eat the straight bits in the left of the pictures, and they were quite sweet if chewy. And fishy.
But I didn't go anywhere near the other end which is decidedly phallic

i would eat the shell as well, its good for you, its full of calcium

Is it just me or do those things look like the Daleks when you crack their shells open?
