2010 "Southern Softies"

If you are going away somewhere and don't mind meeting up with other Bongo owners or if you've been somewhere & want to tell us about it & stick up your photos, put the details here.

As you are club members, I'm sure there is nothing to stop you bringing a car and a tent (if you haven't got a tent either beg or borrow one or get that brother of yours to buy a decent Bongo awning that you can sleep in and use with the Bongo when you get it back).

The kids would have a brilliant time there, whatever vehicle you are able to come in. If you do decide not to come, don't forget to tell Ian officially so that someone else can have your pitch. I'm sure there's probably a waiting list.

What's the latest with the Bongo, anyway. Not terminal, I hope? After all, Southern Softies is not for another month.

This meet was very much in my travel plans for 2010 but the hernia op. made planning impossible. I have family nearby and had planned on a combined operation (not involving a hernia!). Bummer :(

Nasty place to have a hernia Mike. :?

Really sorry to hear you may not make Southern Softies, have a look at my thread on the Fleet Air Arm Museum special open day, right up your street.

Hope your recovery is going ok. :)

Excellent. Look forward to meeting you. Not so excellent about the "there is no bongo" bit, but you're still one of us, regardless.

A Bongo Meet is loads better than watching a load of noisy cars drive round in circles. Or even driving your own car round in circles.

Thanks for the replies on this, I will call the campsite and come along for a look see.

I'm sure you all do your own catering but if anyone needs pub recommendations etc just let me know.

Cheers
