thats glow plug symptoms, if your handy with tools change set of plugs in about 30mins, if not take your time its not an indepth procedure but does require removal of a few parts to gain access
p.s. make sure you have a magnetic pick up handy cos your bound to drop at least 1 of the 7mm glow plug nuts!!

I get in a bit of a panic when my bongo goes funny,as its less than standard!
running on veg is good but twin tank kits can drive you round the bend sometimes!
Thanks again guys!

Isn't that one of the things that make a Bongo special?... just did a cold test and flicked over 1st turn!
I can start it so quickly that the radio keeps going - ain't that impressive?

had a vw t4 ,and tried almost 3 hours to do 3 of the plugs was a real pain, had to drop down a hudge sump pan and crawl on back under the engine.
This was done in no time ,while i had a gap in calls while still at work.
brill a big thanks to all you bongers, making jobs like this run smoothly
would have cost me 100 quid ina garage i think
mate had his t4 done and the bill was 250=5 glow plugs!

I've just gone off the idea of owning a T4.had a vw t4 ,and tried almost 3 hours to do 3 of the plugs was a real pain, had to drop down a hudge sump pan and crawl on back under the engine.
And, do you know what, I was driving along today thinking "I've never had another van that has got such a good performance at low revs as the Bongo even if it is thirsty". I guess that is the price I pay for the luxury of the auto box.
As regards doing the plugs in 30 minutes, I reckon that will be true next time, it took me about an hour the first time.
