What oil V6

hi everyone. Just about to get some work done on the bongo. Oil due soon so my as well, going to get it done at the same time.
Went to my local motor factors today. i've decided to use 10-40w insted of 5-30w. guy in the shop who i've known a long
time tried to talk me in to cheappish stuff £15 for 5litres but halfords+asda are doing mobil souper s for just over £ 20 for 5 litres.
Do any yous have any prefrences any recomendations welcome

According to the handbook for a petrol bongo you want API SE, SF OR SG grade, 7.5W or 10W-30,15,000km or yearly changes, but I'm sure the V6ers will be along shortly .

I'd go for the branded oil from Mobil myself out of the 2.

I tried thinner oil in my bongo and didn't notice any difference. The bongo specialist I trust uses a semi synth 15w40.

I think so long as you stick to good quality oil with the correct rating and change regularly along with the filter you wont' go far wrong.

We use 10-40 Semi Synth in anything over about 60 thousand KM

and 5-30 semi synth in low km ones..

thanks for the replys looks like its 10-40 for me the given mileage of the bongo
just found out my mates work use mobil 1 10-40
