Dim Headlights? It May Not Be The Bulbs . . .

Post by mister munkey » Tue Mar 09, 2010 8:34 pm

There have been a few posts in the past berating the inadequate performance of Bongo headlights.

Some have tried various options of bulbs but few seemed to have found the answer.

In the three years I've owned the Bongo, the lights have always been a little poor, hence the bullbars & 100w spots to assist the main beam on dark country lanes.

Due to a couple of recent issues, I now have a new alternator & a rather splendid Bosch S4 95ah starter battery.

The difference in the lighting department with the same bulbs is quite remarkable.

Bottom line being - It may be a bigger picture, just hard to see in the dark. If your lights aren't up to it, get the rest checked out first.

Good heads up there MM, probably worth checking reflectors & inside of the lenses are clean too if your lights are dim.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
