I sympathise - I escaped by hitting my post on the bumper but it still managed todent the corner of the tailgate. DIY repaired and resprayed bumper and it came up great, but the tailgate still bears witnesscheffy34 wrote:weren't no sucker pulling this one out, it most certainly needed a new panel, still get angry about it now

I have just recently popped a dent out of my sliding door, just took inner panel off and manipulated it shall we say, just a scratch left on it now, unfortunately the sill wasn't so lucky
and needed some creative work
but looks fine now i done it

Thanks for all the offers of equipment and help...
Great news.. well so far anyway..
I managed to pull the interior panel out a little, damn those clips don't half fly about! anyway just enough for me to realise the dent is actually behind the corner pillar, I peeled off one for the platic stickers behid the panel which gave me access for a short piece of dowel pushed through the holes and 'PING' out came most of the dent.
Now all I need to do is to fill a much smaller area and spray up.
My next problem is time... when to do it???
