Loose Nuts
The conversion I have had included two rear bench seats which cover over the rear arches. Today I noticed that on the passenger side there are 4 nuts / bolts showing and on the drivers side there appear to be just the two, unless the others are hidden by the cupboard side.
The nuts on these bolts are not tightened down and washers only showing on drivers side, none on passenger side. Could someone please let me know if these are just redundant or if indeed they are related to the suspension and should in fact be tightened down?
Any help much appreciated.
Steve.

Re: Loose Nuts
sounds like it's just the studs for fixing the flip up seats that would have originally been there? certainly nowt to do with suspension or anything.

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Re: Loose Nuts
I've just removed my fold up seats and refitted the middle one the right way round on long rails - the seat just clears the turrets and studs without modifying them - going to fit some plastic top hats and a bit of grey carpet to finish it off

Re: Loose Nuts
My bongo is having its first service on Friday at A&S in Caerphilly and would have felt a bit of a numbnuts having to ask if they were supposed to be that way.
Here's hoping for no surprises and thanks for taking the bongo apart.

Now that's what i call dedication! You completely stripped the bongo out just to answer a query!missfixit70 wrote:sounds like it's just the studs for fixing the flip up seats that would have originally been there? certainly nowt to do with suspension or anything.

With a message title like "loose nuts" I can't believe that nobody has suggested that you wear tighter underpants.

That was actually last year, but it's back in that state, but even more stripped this time
