Are we in agreement yet whether this is a day meet or a weekender, and if a weekender where we're planning to camp?

It's a Day Meet at a minium facility site that people can stay at if they wish. Alternatively there are a few sites nearby :D

If it's allowed, we're up for camping at Tackeroo, we don't necessarily need electric or 'facilities'

It's a proper campsite just no loos or shower blocks, there's some details here:

http://www.forestry.gov.uk/website/recr ... aravanSite

Bring a porta potti or a bucket!

It's £10 per night. Day visits are £3 per day

There's another one here

http://www.springsladelodge.co.uk

And there's a C&CC site at Cannock - http://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co ... px?id=6070

£10 and no facilities.... ....I don't need to hook up & have a porta loo but I'm going to the C&CC it's not much more if anything at all worth worrying about....

Agreed.

It is a nice spot and we get a great big campsite to ourselves though. Did you go last year?

Which site are you going to Mike, the Springslade Lodge site appears to be a tenner and with recognisable latrines, can't figure out the fees for the C&CC site.
