Not a difficult job at all most decent kits will have the instructions on where to pull the power and even what colours to use.
Try towequipe on ebay we have used them for years and found them brill, they fit them for us too as they fit them so quick it used to embarass my guys
In fact they did one on a LPG Bongo I had converted and I just managed to make up a towbar mounting LPG filler bracket and re pipe the filler in the time it took them to fit the towbar.

Best fitted after waxoyling has been done as otherwise you may end up with an unprotected area behind it where Bongos have been known to rust.

Just had one fitted with Towbar Express -- very reliable & did a cracking job--took the bloke just over an hour to do.

There's a factsheet in the members area -
ON THIS LINK - which explains how to fit towbars. It might help you.

Not sure if the factsheet mentions it, but it's a good idea to properly prepare & paint the towbar components with a decent Hammerite type paint as the paint that is on at delivery will not last long on the road, & you'll end up with a rusty towbar in no time

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Good advice.... my Tow Trust tow bar had a decent plastic type paint rather than the cheapo matt black they usually spray over..

I still did the Waxoyl prior to fitting and after too..... gave the bar and fittings a good lashing of the stuff...

How much did it cost fitted if you don't mind me asking. Want to see if the difference is worth paying rather than getting numb fingers!

I bought one through eBay for my last Bongo & then swopped it to the new one after 18 months & it was as rusty as a horse shoe after that time. I had it shot blasted & powder coated (about £60.00 if I remember correctly) before fitting it to this one so hopefully it is now 'fit & forget'. Do as Kirsty says & paint it well with Hammerite or similar.
I use the Bongo to tow my boats & am sorry to admit that on rare occasions she gets her backside wet

so I sprayed underneath all around the back end with 'schultz' (or something like that) which is like a rubberised underseal - you see some new cars have it with it painted over to stop chipping on cills etc.
