wing mirror motors

Post by dreamwarrioruk » Sat Feb 06, 2010 9:12 pm

anyone sourced a replacement for the motors for the electric fold mirrors. im now on our second set thanks to harry but the drivers ones packed up which makes the automatically folding mirrors a bit of a waste of time, can anyone help or if they know where there is a cheap electric folding drivers mirror that works. could swop for a non electric folding one.lol

I think that you'll find that it's not the motor that's at fault but the wiring between the main body and the door, it's prone to breaking through age. Either see if you can find the wire and repair or buy a new door loom

In my case it was the geartrain in the motor assembly - plastic parts breaking. Thought I'd done a good repair but it only last but a short while :(
