Engine carbon deposits

What is the best way to remove gunky engine carbon deposits? (pesumably causes by the EGR system?)

Is there any additive you can add to the diesel that does this well?

Try Gunk or Jizer, brushed on and washed off with water.
Never heard of any fuel additive that cleans the outside of an engine #-o

i do,nt think berrega meant on the outside , i think inside the manifold etc was meant .

redex type products may help but will take time, in any case if it all came through in one go i would think it would certainly clog the engine up completly
