Seatbelt Problems!

Post by joelg1974 » Tue Jan 26, 2010 10:22 pm

Hi, I have a 1995 Mazda bongo the previous owner had a small camping unit put in instead of centre row of seats we have decided to put in the middle seats again as keep running out of seats, i have put the rails and seat back in no problem. My problem is that i have come to the point where i need to put the seatbelts back in, i have found out how and where they go but they have both retracted in so to short to reach the bolt points, the issue is that they wont pull back out, i know they worked before but neither will pull out now, there is a slot on the side of the wide housing that the mechanisms are in so i tried to put a small screwdriver in to see if it does anything but nothing will budge, have spent the whole night on the net now trying to find out something and no joy, can anyone help please? I now have three rows of seats but only 6 usable seats. Thanks for your time, Joel.

Hi joelg, welcome in.

Most of the converters that advertise on here throw away seatbelt assemblies on a regular basis - suggest you make a few calls in the morning, you never know!!
