Hi Folks,
Driving 6 (mostly motorway) miles to Stevenage last Thursday, and, upon arrival, noticed a "clicky" noise, like metal cooling down. Upon touching the from driver side wheel, fault was diagnosed as either brakes or bearing, as the wheel was painfully hot.
Left to cool for couple of hours, then nursed the car home (didn't fancy waiting hours for recovery truck in the middle of the night).
Booked in it with local garage today, and just received a call that the offside brake calliper has "well and truly seised". Garage has tried its various contacts to obtain a replacement, with no luck (would appear after market equipment suppliers don't make them), and now has a call open with Mazda to see if they can supply one.
Given that, if Mazda can, I suspect they may charge mega-bucks, I wondered if folks here new of a source? I've also created a post in the "Wanted" board.
Thanks, in advance, for all your help!
Gavin.
