2.5D auto tickover vibration
I know this has been covered before but a search didn't bring up anything positive. I have a pronouced vibration at tickover that causes the sliding door to rattle it's innards & also something in the roof. My last Freda (same spec) had nothing like the vibration - it really is quite bad. It gets worse when you put it in gear & if the A/C compressor kicks in. Once you pick up the revs slightly it is as smooth as they always are. Anyone found a positive 'fix' for this in the last few months before I start digging deep? I have given it a quick once over & nothing appears to be broken or amiss.

assuming the tickover revs are not too low could it be a broken engine or gearbox mounting?

Although I discovered one day last week that it's not the sliding door, it's the middle bench seat that's rattling

The rattle in the roof is definitely the trap door but I still haven't worked out how to silence it. I can, of course, silence both noises by standing on the middle bench with my hand on the trap door but haven't attempted a permanent fix yet (or rather haven't managed to book my husband to assist in said task. Of course, on the few occasions he has driven the Bongo, he claims he hasn't been able to hear it.
I shall be watching this thread as well as trying to work out what to do and will report back if I come up with a solution.

So what is the correct tickover speed? The tacho seems to have two graduations between 0 &1000 making them (I assume) 333 & 666 respectively I guess, I suspect it may not be taht accurate anyway.

I believe it's about 750rpm when warm.

Revs should increse slightly when the a/c kicks in, there are 2 vacuum solenoid valves on the front end of the engine under the drivers seat, one's for the a/c fast idle & t'other's for the cold start fast idle, I replaced mine with one of the redundant egr ones from the rear end on the same side, slighty different terminals, but one of them does the same job
Beware the plastic is brittle & likely to snap.

Revs increase slightly on mine when a/c is switched on but only when fans are running, the revs drop back to normal as fans cut out, this repeats as fans switch off and on.
