Parking Sensor Problem

Post by Mickymouse » Wed Jan 20, 2010 8:13 pm

Hello to you all
Have just installed some parking sensors but the main unit is not receiving power.
I have wired it in to a reverse light bulb with the red wire (from the unit) connected to the red & yellow wire which goes to the middle of the bulb and the black wire (from the unit) to the black wire which goes to the outer edge of the bulb.
I used snap on connectors to join the wires.
The bulb lights up when reverse is selected.
Anyone got any suggestions? Not rude ones I hope! #-o

Hi, I would try block connectors as the snap connectors arn't that reliable on making a good contact. :D

In that case, take the power to the unit from a relay switched from the reverse light?? :D

Took mine from the reverse light wire. I would say you either have the wrong wire or the scotch lock connector wasn't home on the wire
All disclaimers count as i know nothing

I had the right wires but must have been a dodgey connection.
