Not took it for a decent run and clicking was only now and then so dont know. In hind sight maybe clicking was something to do with things getting too hot. Or maybe it always does it and I was being super sensitive with my hearing once I knew something was wrong. Not sure.
I will take for a few little runs over the next few days and keep increasing distance but stay close to home(round and round the block) and keep checking level. I really need to get some antifreeze in there though as its just water at moment. Any idea how much should go in? Or shall I leave for mike to do when I take to him to check out?
Shall keep you posted.
John.

50/50 mix, so you need 6.5 litres. Will you still be taking it to Mike if it's OK now? If not, get the antifreeze in quickBongoJon wrote: I really need to get some antifreeze in there though as its just water at moment. Any idea how much should go in? I'd get it in to Mike for a good look-see. They don't fleece you there (too good and too busy to need to do that!), know their stuff, and its the best/only way of knowing what is really going on. Let them do the 50/50 refill and bleed for you (maybe ask if they'll let you watch so you can try it yourself next time). Their charges are very reasonable. Good luckBongoJon wrote:Not took it for a decent run and clicking was only now and then so dont know. In hind sight maybe clicking was something to do with things getting too hot. I wouldn't leave it without antifreeze in
It's anti corrosive as well, as discussed endlessly on here, so not only are you running the risk of it freezing & causing damage, but you're running the risk of other damage, as well as increased pump cavitation possibly leading to airlocks.

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Hi all,
Hoping to take it to mike on friday afternoon if I get off work early so will leave it in his capable hands to sort out and have a really good look at everything and take it for arun for me to see if it running ok. I know you might think I should know something like if its running ok myself but I have not driven another bongo so have nothing to compare to.
Took it for two 5km runs.(first one to lidle to get a digital temp gauge). First one resulted in water dripping out the little overflow pipe on top of expansion tank. Second run, no water coming out and level around full mark.
Going to ring mike in a bit, he was out before, get it booked in.
Cheers for all the advice and a big thank you to Mel (the great pretender) who pm'ed his number to ring for a chat about the whole antifreeze thing and general advice on the issue.
I'll keep you updated.
