Cooling System Thermostate To 1995 2.5 Mazda Bongo

I wish to fit a new thermostat to my cooling system.... 1995 2.5 MAZDA BONGO....can anyone advise me as to how I should go about it? Thank you in anticipation Tru3Meg27.

It can all be done from underneath the car on the passenger side and from above. Socket with a long extension.
It says in the fact sheets I think that if it's 4x4 you need to drop the front drive shaft but I have never had too and have changed mine twice now. :D
I'm sure someone more techy will come along soon.

you can access the stat from above which saves messing about underneath, thats even with a 4wd. you will need a good rachet set with a multiposition joint tho to reach to undo the bolts. expect some swearing and rubbed knuckles. i found it easier to remove the dipstick and a couple of pipes to get to the left hand bolt easier but i have hands like shovels.
make sure you seat the new stat correctly or you may find it leaks and have to do it again (i know from experience)
might be easier from below but i havnt got a long extension bar.
