I'd go for the first kit with the plunger, mine was fairly well shot & it's only a few quid more while you're at it.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Amazing innit, you can now buy these on ebay. It was BF member Moonshine (Colin) who sussed this one out and gave it free as a tip to members. Now picked up on commercially but Colin deserves all the credit for this hugely £ saving discovery. Sadly, his Bongo was stolen a while back and I've not seen him on here since. Been meaning to PM him to enquire after him. He loved his Bongo v. much, and it was due as much to him as anyone that I overcame my fears and bought one.

Getting back on thread, I seem to recall you can't repair all starter motors with this kit. The 2 battery 'winter pack' Bongos have a different, more powerful starter motor that is of a different ttype. Have I got that right Kirsty? Best to get confirmation on this before proceeding. 8)

You're right on that Mike, but apparantly a standard starter will fit as a replacement fit the bigger winter pack/twin battery starter.
