Hello

I'm having a few problems with my Bongo, does anyone know of a good garage near Northampton that are experienced with Bongos?

I'm still reading through all previous threads but ok.

I've got a '95 2.5ltd 2wd with side conversion.

It starts first time but then after a short while it struggles to idle before revs drop and it cuts out. It then won't restart for a few minutes and several attempts. I now have to go through this a couple of times before it settles down and runs smoothly once the engine is warm. The longest I've been driving for and it's cut out is about 10 minutes. This week I had fuel and air filters changed, and new oil but no improvement. Last month I had new battery and oil filter.

Also there is a whining noise from engine that is sometimes louder than at others, it used to go away when the engine was hot but now it sometimes continues and is getting louder.

Also earlier this week my temperature gauge went briefly to max and I needed to put 4 litres of coolant in. Cause was a split pipe which has been repaired.

From reading other posts I guess there may be an air leak, possible from fuel pump seal? and whining could be belts or manifold stud?
