Advice required re new engine please
Our Bongo engine 'died' on the M25 on Monday evening. It has been written off. The vehicle is in good shape and has served us superbly over the past three years. We'd like to get a 'new' engine. Does anyone have any advice please? We have a local mechanic friend who say he can fit it. We are on Bucks/Herts border. It's a 2.5 Turbo diesel engine (auto). Someone said we should do the cambelt at the same time. Thanks.

I would try Bell Hill or Wheelquick to see if they have any decent diesel motors in their Bongo breaking sections........

Re: Advice required re new engine please
There's a recommended Bongo mechanic in South Croydon in case that is nearby. Might be worth tracking them down and asking. He should be on the recommended garages factsheet in the members area (or have a search on here). There's an outfit that advertises replacement engines (including fitting) on ebay, E. London I think but no feedback on here as to what they are like.
Sorry to hear your troubles. Good luck getting them sorted and keep us posted if poss for a happy ending.
