Updates on Anna (not so old)

Talk about non-Bongo stuff. BUT KEEP IT CLEAN....there are children watching. Smut, filth, and anything offensive will not be tolerated and removed immediately.

Thanks John, please let Jimmy know we really wouldn't expect him to mess about on here with Anna so ill, your passing on the Gang's love and good wishes will be more than enough I know.

Hopefuly the cards and good wishes will give Anna and Jimmy strength, and if we can 'Will' Anna back to health we'll do it. [-o<

I have not been on the forum for a long time, and I am really shocked by these news!
I really hope Anna gets on well soon, she is such a lovely person as well a Jimmy.
All my love for both of you!

I just rang Jimmy and he said that Anna is a little better today, although still being kept asleep :D He said that she had a new nurse today who said she was going to clear her lungs and proceded to "bash" her about - result was that they've been able to reduce the mechanical breathing assistance by 50% 8) .
Doctors are still carrying out any tests they can think of (presently waiting for some cultures to grow) as they still haven't got a clue what's wrong - all tests show that she is healthy #-o . Anyway, Jimmy seemed a lot happier as it's the first time he's seen any improvement :D
Will post again when I hear anymore.

Thanks once again. We are all very worried and any information is welcome. Have sent a card off earlier this week and hope she can soon be well enough to read them all for herself.

Just had a phone call from Jimmy.
Hospital did a tracheotomy today, to encourage Anna to do more of her own breathing. It went really well and this afternoon she actually woke up. Doctor said "Oh, that shouldn't have happened" but wasn't bothered that she had :D Unfortunately she was very confused, as she didn't even realise she was in hospital, so they put her back to sleep so that she didn't get too distressed. However, they have decided to "wake" her in the morning as she seems to be improving. They still think it is a virus (probably linked to the swine flu she had) that is causing all the problems, but are unable to confirm one way or the other. Jimmy's comment to the doctors was "viruses are like kids - they come uninvited, cause chaos and then piss off" - I think it's safe to say he was feeling a lot better today
Jimmy asked me to thank everybody for all the gifts and cards - he's hopefully going to read them to Anna when she gets woken up tomorrow :D
