Stating the obvious Iain but why not have two pairs - or am I missing something here . . . .

I'm a Yorkshireman ...... sort of like the Scots, but less generous !

(Just had the bill for the Head doing , £25 saved on chains gets me £25 more diesel!)

I bought a drivers handbook and it says tyre chains should be fitted to the rear two tyres.

The handbook doesn't state 2WD or 4WD, so assume that Mazda mean the rear on both versions. That makes sense where maximum traction is the concern.
