Needs more volts

can anyone help with this one i have a split charger fitter running to the two batteries under the bonnet they don't seem to be getting enough voltage from the split chagers it putting out around 13.4v with the engine ticking over when i tirn the lights on the output drops to 13.1v. firstly does this sound normal if not where am i losing my volts and how can i incress it.
Bongo now work later !!! :) :)

Mine did similar, a week or two later alternator died.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

:-k I'm no expert, but I would have thought 13.4 to 14.4 would have been about right on tick over and then turning all lights on etc would cause a drain, have you tried raising the revs say to about 1200 with the lights on and then check again, I would imagine/hope you should be back up to 13.4 or above, if not then I'm stumped #-o
