18inch wheels, what tyres?

just got some chrome rx8 18 inch alloys to go on a 4X4 bongo but dont know what size tyres i need to get. are they ment to be a different size tyre from front to back?

on the 4x4 bongo's its best to put the same tyres on all round
if my memory serves me right i think they should be 245/45/18 phone wheelquick in wigan they actually stock the tyres and prob post you some if needed

225/45s or 235/40 are fine front & back. Best to keep same all round.

The only bother you're likely to experience is finding tyres of that size with the correct load ratings.

Generally, RX8s cone with 87 or at best, 91 rated tyres. Junk them. They split around the inside wall.

DO NOT SCRIMP & SAVE ON THE LOAD RATINGS!

92 front, 96 back is what you need but that rubber don't come cheap.

The different size tyre thing only really applies when standard 15" wheels are fitted.

Once any other size wheels are fitted the standard recommendation is irrelevant.

I run 225/45/18 95xtra load on front and 245/45/18 100load on the rears on my v6 rear wheel drive, without wishing to start any artguments check in your driver door post for your load rates as mine says nothing about 96 rears and 92 front load it just recommends 98 on the rear prob as it rear wheel drive v6
