Main interior strip light
The strip light in my Bongo (the one in rear ceiling) is flickering. Anyone know if it's just the "bulb" going or the "starter" unit? If it's the bulb, are they easily avaliable?

Re: Main interior strip light
But first.....I have an alarm bell ringing. I think others have flagged this up too back in the mists of Bongo time, but mine was dim so I bought a new tube and it was still dim. Problem (from dim meory) got sorted once I ensured the lamp was making good connections. I used to have to remove cover and fiddle with a it every now and again to get it bright, but it has now been good for 2yrs without me having to fiddle with it

Re: Main interior strip light
Replaced my dim one a few months back from the club shop.. In fact i bought two.. I spent 2 years or so looking for a replacement strip light to fit under the unit in my kitchen!
I did notice one of the connections on the light unit needed re-soldering to the board on mine when i replaced the new tube..! Worth checking, i noticed when refitting & the symptom was bulb flicker
Never noticed with the old one, it was so dim!

I tried Maplin but they didn't stock the 210mm tubes, the closest thay had was the 225 version.
Have ordered one from the Bongo Shop.

It would have been cheaper buying an older shaped Bongo's fitting of Ebay with the bulb tbh.
