Are all the windows glass?

Post by Alison01326 » Tue Oct 20, 2009 11:08 am

This may sound like a daft question, but I am about to order a window etching kit from http://www.idlabels.co.uk/acatalog/Car_ ... ching.html and whilst I am pretty sure in my own mind that all of the windows in my Bongo are glass, I wanted to double check.

Maybe the onset of OCD

Thanks - I can't give them a knock as the Bongo's off having some things done to it today. That's why I was double checking. Thanks though - will assume they are (none of them have been bricked up or covered with chipboard!!!!)

I want to get my order in now for the thingy to avoid the postal strike.

Quick question.
Is it possible to use a kit like this if your windows are all tinted?
Does it apply from the outside?

Very good question SK =D>

You'd think that attempting to apply it on the inside could result in an expensive mess if the tint was film applied :?

As far as I can see from the website, you do do the etching on the outside.

I hadn't thought about the tinted window side of things. I don't know how the tinted windows are made, whether the tint is in the manufacture or whether it's a coating. Mine are tinted - I will have to see if I wreck my windows before you wreck yours

We used a kit like this years ago and it was applied from the outside, but I'm not sure about this one. They have a 'contact us' link so you could ask them by email or phone. :)
