knocking noise when turning

hi
ive had my bongo three months now ,
sorry to say iam getting a knocking noise when i turn hard left and right ,
any clues anyone .
ive been looking this up in the search, and iam none the wiser
?? anyone know a bongo freindly garage in the north east .

Try a search on CV joints, thats the most likely suspect.

is your bongo 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.

i know its loud , as people on foot are looking when iam turning ,
i know there smart looking vans ??? but not that smart

is that a costly job ,
i not complaining, but i have spent a small fortune kitting out the van already, alarms awning ect

Do what i do and turn ya music up. If the noise becomes louder than your music like mine did, then invest in a 12"JBL and box. That'll cure any noise problems. :lol: :lol: 8) 8)

allready wearing ear plugs , getting used to sitting on the engine , a bit noisey

I know what you mean, i've been driving mine for 3 years now and i still think that its too noisy in the cab when trying to talk to a passenger. #-o

i have an astravan for graft , its a bit like a bently after the bongo ,
[-o< shouldnt say that in case i upset someone , a die hard bongolier :lol: :lol:

Try Bridge garage in Annitsford, Cramlington.

CV joints are £60 a side from the club shop, labour should be an hour or so.

Money well spent for peace of mind & a quiet ride.

thanks splitpin , thats brilliant , i work up cramlington every now and then ,
in fact ive been up there all this week , is the c v joints an urgent job , can they wait ,
i am not due back there for a week or so can they wait

I agree Chris... It's almost certainly worn cv(s) joint(s). Quite dangerous should the joint be allowed to degenerate to the point of collapse.
