Cigar Lighter > 9v 100mA DC

Post by splash2 » Wed Oct 14, 2009 11:01 am

Hi Gang,

I have just purchased a 12v Digi-View TV aerial. It comes supplied with a 240v adapter but no ciggy lighter adapter; does anyone know where I can buy one?

I intend to use an old laptop with a USB TV stick as a receiver, that being said, would I be better off buying a small inverter [300w?] with a double 240v socket?

As always, your thoughts are welcomed.

Pretty sure Maplins do one, think it may be on ofer at the mo, more efficient to go down to 9v rather than up to 240v & back down again, just depends if you want to use an inverter for anything else.

You'd be better of getting one of these to power your laptop http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Universal-Car-Cha ... 286.c0.m14 - much easier than an inverter.
9V power supply for the aerial should be widely available.
