Have a great time folks...... hope it isn't to wet and windy as they are forecasting......It is supposed to be a Saturday only weather front... :D You want to see the forecast for the Japan GP.... the practice has been rained off and it is supposed to rain until tomorrow...

Well the rain started in Manchester about an hour ago and it hasn't stopped. I am hoping it will be so horrible here today that by this evening when we arrive I wil be cheered by the brighter weather!

I actually got Mark to pull his weight with getting organised for the weekend - he packed himself some clothes. Just everything else for me to do now :)

Have a great time y'all. Expect I'll be supervising Will all weekend with the homework he hasn't done, since half the things I needed to get done will have to be cancelled due to lack of a useful arm :(
Sorry you're not going to be there Mike - would have been good to meet you and show you my LPG tank, especially as you're the one that's shown the most interest! I'm sure our paths will cross soon.
All the best for a speedy recovery.

Andrew
Thanks Andrew. Yes, it has been on my mind that I will miss meeting you. I seem to have ended up with the worst of all worlds having come off my bike. Many of the pressing things I needed this weekend to get done before house guests the weekend after, I can't do now as they require 2 arms.

I'm excited about the Tough Northerners meet next March though and that's an easy one for both of us so hope maybe see you there. Have a great time at Silverdale and keep an eye on that roof in the gales (park with back to wind - and I keeping thinking that a DIY bracing strut arrangement would be invaluable in relieving wind load on the lifting mechanism - on my list but not done yet and maybe never will be) 8)

@ Mike and Emily, Y
Yorkshire Lass and I were chatting over at the washing up and it appears they have better drainage here this year so there won't be the water logging problems of last year. She was concerned that you might be missing out.

All good here with more arriving :)

I reckon if our roofs could stand the weather at Buxton which had no shelter then we should be ok at Silverdale - certainly in the hook up area which is more sheltered anyway.

Well the bongo is sort of packed and now I am just waiting for Mark to get home from Liverpool so we can actually gets some fuel, pick something else up and head north. I am bringing the Base Seconds Pop Up as usual to chuck the junk in overnight and in case we drive off site tomorrow and once again. the caravansore will sit there looking bored because it aint coming out in this weather!

I am working on the basis that I have probably forgotten it but I really don't care. I don't feel remotely up to coming but I am damned if I am sitting around here feeling tired so I am coming anyway. If I fall asleep in a corner somewhere just tell mark to roll me back to the bongo!

I have been freezing and wet all day and Manchester is truly miserably but if it was still bright like Tina says this afternoon then it has to better than here - whic is really grim.

See you all probably between 7 and 8.

Why is it EVERY time I book a half day off I end up finishing late?

On way now, ETA 9.30.
