North West Big Autumn Bash - 2nd - 4th October 09

If you are going away somewhere and don't mind meeting up with other Bongo owners or if you've been somewhere & want to tell us about it & stick up your photos, put the details here.

What makes you think that you'll sleep the night before you leave?

Just under 40 vans coming along so far but I expect a late surge this week (of cancellations?).

Pam (Yorkshirelass) you've struck lucky!

cheers

I hear the long forecast is for cold and maybe rain, will be packing a few more blankets than usual and keeping my fingers crossed that I don't need them of course.

Working during the week in Blackpool at the moment so will be heading straight from there on Friday, packed the van up today. Won;t be able to give it the full clean and polish though :( I like to show her off at her best 8)

Well I'll apologise now, but... #-o

I gotta resurrect this old vid. Just to remind peeps of the site and the wonderful roads we travel to get to Silverdale.

It's just a bit of a laugh..

What's bizarre is that I looked several days ago and the forecast was good. Hopefully in several more days time the forecast will revert to good [-o<

It'll still be a laugh anyway, but no rain is a good start  :D

Apparently the traffic is naff for any of you travelling on the M6 during rush hour. It's down to 2 lanes between J33 & J34 on both carriageways with a speed limit of 50MPH with average speed cameras. We were going to head for the southbound carriageway last friday at about 6PM but received a a warning from a friend to not hit the M6. We saw the queues in time and found an alternative route. Through the day it shouldn't be too bad but if you are heading up friday tea time be prepared for tailbacks :( or find an alternative route although the A6 would be heaving as that passes straight through Lancaster. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it was suggested to me that I should warn you. I must say though the traffic jam will never be as bad as Blackpool lights on saturday night though
Safe journey to you all :)
