Constant flashing light !!!

Post by the guvnor » Tue Sep 22, 2009 9:10 pm

Well im hoping i already now the answer to this but maybe not !! [-o<

Just drove back from cornwall to essex with no probs at all, apart from a flashing glow plug light !!!! Turn the engine on and it just constantly flashes slowly. Im guessing and hoping it just means the glow plug may need replacing, but i was told that it could mean something more and mazda use the light sometimes to show a fault code ?

Any ideas ?

Possibly, but theres a factsheet IIRC in the Members area regarding various codes for different glowplug light flashing sequences.

Hope its a quick fix for ya.

I'm sure the fact sheet is for hold light sequences

Glowplug flashing usualy means charging problems

do you have anything plugged into the cigarette socket?
do you have a leisure battery and splitcharger?
