boiled !

Post by BrixhamBongo » Fri Sep 18, 2009 8:06 pm

today i lent the bongo to my brother and his family to transport them and their kit to the airport , i then get a phone call after they have done 4 miles :( , the bongo had overheated , so i went out to them , all around the leisure battery and underneath the van was covered in thick oily sludge , with caution i opened the expansion tank that was full of the same liquid , had the AA tow the van to my house where it sits :( .

what do you think has happened ?

any advice would be appreciated

Sorry to hear of your trouble mate, I boiled mine 3 times recently and it was fine in the end but I think I was lucky. Try not to fear the worst straight away and get some professional help. Incidentally, I take it your Bongo is the one in the pic...you didn't buy it around April/Easter time from the Warwickshire area? this year did you? :?:

Sorry to hear your bad news Brixham Bongo, try giving Allans of Plymouth a bell (link on homepage) what he dosen't know about Bongos ain't worth knowing, he's very helpful & the only garage in our area that I would trust to dismantle an engine, I think he's open this Saturday morning.

You're in the best of good hands there.

All will be well, just hope your brother can afford it!
