suspension dampers
Hi all, does anyone know where i can purchase decent (ie cheapish) dampers for my van. Ideally i'd be looking for some slightly upgraded ones as the van has a large-ish conversion in the back.
Thanks all.
Thanks all.
Re: suspension dampers
How about air assistors in the rear coils. A few of us have them and they work well.

Re: suspension dampers
I know what you're looking for but as you've added additional weight to the van then additional/upgraded springs are what you really need IMO - the original dampers more than cope.

Re: suspension dampers
Alec, Have you got a part number for the dampers you are after?
Re: suspension dampers
Cheers Dandy, thanks for the advice. The bottom bush has started to go on them so they need replacing as well as airbags as you suggest.
Dave the part number is S10H28700C

Re: suspension dampers
I'll see if I can find them in the trade at a better price. What manufacturer are they?
Re: suspension dampers
Ah, I see, that is a Mazda part number.
Re: suspension dampers
I sourced the number from the lushproject link on the Techie page on here, are there any compatible parts from other vehicles at all?
Re: suspension dampers
Not sure - I expect there are though - I know that there is a part number compatibility page on here somewhere, but I'm not sure where.

Re: suspension dampers
OK, found the part number list. No alternative vehicles listed, but a couple of non-mazda part numbers.
Also a mention, not confirmed, that the bongo and transit share the rear suspension layout.

Alec,
http://www.explorerprocomp.co.uk/acatal ... S3000.html - you need part number 320500, £38.10 each (inc VAT)
I'm also waiting for my mate to come back to me with trade prices......

Re: suspension dampers
Excellent, now thats a lot better price!! Not that i'm a skinflint or anything...................

Re: suspension dampers
Not only cheaper, but they are gas-assisted which might be enough to give your rear end a help with the weight.
These Pro Comp ones are used by all the 4x4 types, I think the Bongo ones also fit a Suzuki SJ (Although I'm ashamed to admit anything in common with a barbie jeep!).
