Reversing Mirror & Fiamma T4 Bike Rack

Post by pongobongo » Tue Sep 08, 2009 8:39 pm

Hello...

Managed to get a bargain rack on ebay - modified the brackets in stainless to avoid cutting the spoiler (thanks for the tips) but unfortunately the reversing mirror is now obscured.

Has anybody made any alterations to the mirror to overcome this? (possibly adjusting the mount - new arm - or even bending the existing arm)

What can i say - I'm rubbish at reversing!! ha

I'd be very careful trying to bend it as I think it's cast ally, One member on here had a problem with localised vandalism to his bongo & the mirror stem had been snapped.
I keep meaning to pursue a mirror mod for when I have my back box on.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Me too, I thought it was a woman thing.
No, don't bend the arm as it will snap. The mirror part itself can be adjusted but the movement is limited, so may not help you.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Doone - trust me I'm rubbish at it! ha

That reversing sensor looks good, although I think i'd prefer to mod the reversing mirror.... the reverse bleeping gets on my nerves as it is... imagine 2 lots of bleeps!! argghh.

Looking at modifying the bracket - should clear the rack when the bikes are not attached. I'll post some pics with the progress of the mod soon.
