Those above the line have paid for hookups.
Those below the line are on non hookups and should pay upon arrival.
If hookups become vacant then those at the top of the non hookup list will be offered any places in list order.

There is plenty more room for non hookups.

There will be the usual Jacobs Join in the marquee on Friday evening. For those of you who are newbies this means that you bring along some cheap and nasty food/drink to a communal table then you eat all the good stuff that someone else brought along. This theoretically at least saves the bother of either having to eat before you arrive or having to prepare a meal.

Pete (Snow-Kiter) has arranged a trip to 'Go Ape' in Grizedale Forest on Saturday. I suspect that most of you will be going to take part or to watch the nutters making complete fools of themselves. See the NW section for details. Those of us who've dunnit before or are chicken (guess which one I am) can chill around the campsite or maybe join me for a gentle stroll.

Pete is also arranging some geocaching/treasure hunt around the site for children up to the age of 99. I shall be placing a brand new geocache within walking distance of the campsite a day or so before the meet.

Saturday night will no doubt degenerate into a night of drunken debauchery but prior to that, if the weather holds, we shall hopefully gather for a communal BBQ.

Sunday morning will provide the opportunity for the lads to enjoy a bongo chat whilst the little ladies cook up a good fryup  . I'm hoping that Hembromacho will show us his gas conversion. =D>

Don't forget to check out the Gibraltar Farm website www.gibraltarfarm.co.uk and take a note of the site rules. In particular, dogs on leads at all times and no climbing on the drystone walls.

The 'facilities' may come under a bit of pressure at times so if you have your own loo please bring it and be prepared to que for showers at peak times.

Kids are to sole responsibility of their parents/guardians. This is a working farm with the inherant hazards. [-X Could all parents also brief their kids not to hang around the toilet block.

thats all for now folks. PM me if you have any queries.

Cheeras

Not a problem for anyone that's interested.
Along those lines, if anyone going has got a Propex LPG heater, I wouldn't mind a look and a chat, or indeed if anyone knows anything about them. That could be the next phase of the project - I just have to convince my wife  that I need to spend just a little bit more :^o on the Bongo! 8)

depends whether you like walking up and down mountains in the pouring rain looking for something that some one else does not want. You then take it and put something in its place you don't want. #-o
OK i will stand back now and take the flak.
Lost without my Bongo.

Thanks for that Dave  Seems an odd thing to do; to forage around to find something that someone and probably you, don't want....only to put something else you don't want in a hole for someone else.....etc etc :? :? :? :?
If anyones fast for a job , I'm sure I could find something for them to do  Anyway........whats wrong with Ebay....at least you'd stay dry !!!

Dave is probably right with his description of geocaching.

For an alternative description see: http://www.geocaching.com

A few of the NW/Yorkshire crowd are into it, Me, Snowkiter, Hatris, Dreamwarrior & Mr Munkey crews to name a few.

cheers

Rapeseed Oil anyone???

I'm picking up some 15x1litre cases of rapeseed oil from Bookers wholesale for this meet.

I used to run my van on it.

If anyone would like to order a case or two then I'll deliver it at the Bash at cost.

If anyone wants to talk through its use than we can do a session on Sunday morning.

I thought that perhaps a Sunday morning theme of Fuel & performance might be appropriate. Wayne (Waycar8) is the mod for this forum section and will no doubt be prepared to lead the session if we tip him out of his sleeping bag. Hembamacho will be doing a session on his LPG conversion.

cheers
