dodgy boot

Post by redshadow » Mon Sep 14, 2009 9:08 pm

hi can i pick your brains,
just replaced front tyres for pending mot and noticed that the boot on drivers side steering rack has a split in it  can i replace the boot or do i need to look into new steering rack quite expensive i found, steering is ok and does not feel any different, but with mot pending am worried it could be a fail, looking on lushprojects it is part 32-12x if this helps. under power steering.

cheers

You can buy a universal steering rack boot kit that should fit I think. Don't think it should be much more than a tenner.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Any motorfactors, partco etc, or just do an online search, like this - http://www.bailcast.com/en-gb/products/ ... oots/ub414
