Hi,
If your bongo has it!!! Open the sliding door, you will see a cover on the side of the step. on opening that cover you should see the the tools for the job. A ratchet, and jack, and a sort of bar with two lugs on. The ratchet fits on the end of the bar with the lugs on. This is not just used to raise and lower the jack, if fact on opening the rear door, there is a hole into which the bar and lugs fit. that goes in and locates into a "key" . By turning the bar with the ratchet it loosens off the cable that is used to tightly hold the spare. Once loosened, the holding plate that holds the spare wheel in place can be slipped through the wheel and the spare is then available to be used.

All the kit should be in the cubby in the sliding door step, there's a long bar clipped inside, which goes in the hole revealed when you open the tailgate, shove it in 'til it locates in the mechanism then turn it with the ratchet handle which sholud be in the tool bag to lower the cradle.

Too slow

Clipped in the top of the hole, there should be a long metal bar, it's not immediatley obvious.

Is your next question going to be "where do I get a proper spare wheel?"

Yay!! Thanks for this. Been very helpful.

Mr BellyBongo said it's like being Lara Croft (but his cross-dressing fetishes are another story...), finding all these secret compartments and hidden 'treasures'.
