This sounds like a familiar scenario... Another forum member had this same issue, after trying every every "pour in" cure available on the market, it turned out that one of the cams was fubared! It may be a case of spending some of the saved money on the purchase for a stripdown of the heads to investigate! Sorry to seem negative, but i really don't think some spanner work can be avoided here i'm afraid. I suppose you could do a full oil flush and change, just on the offchance that the wrong grade of oil was used during the last service? [-o< Got me fingers crossed for ya! [-o<

Hoggggman! That was the chap! I'm sure he could explain it better to you than me, (that is of course if it's the same problem) The only drawback with this issue is that poor hoggman spent bundles on this magic cure, that magic cure, when (as it turned out) he'd have been better off taking the bongo to the garage, and getting the heads stripped in the first place, it would have saved time, hassle, and false hope. I think he got it all sorted in the end

FUBAR is an acronym - f***ed up beyond all recognition
Another one used is NFG, we used to mark it on anything that was only fit to be scrapped, first word is no, last word is good.

If I can offer any advice carlofrede it would be to listen to the learned members on here - otherwise you'll be pouring good money after bad - don't fubar about.
8) The V6 is known for worn valve gear - best to have the cam covers lifted for an inspection kinda pronto before more damage is done - y' know it makes sense
