Jap radio wave band expander

Post by oldmanpete » Sun Aug 30, 2009 11:29 am

Last year I fitted a wave band expander to the Jap' radio, worked fine in the middlands (where I lived then).Radio 4 no problem, then moved South to Bournemouth...no radio 4. Drove back to Cambridgeshire last week Radio 4 fine...TV reception down here is cr#p, might it be same for radio? Any ideas???

There was one in the van when I bought it. Worked so well I only discovered it when I swapped the stereo out for a new CD player

I'm guessing they could well be of variable quality...

(I did find some really funny Japanese pop music in a cassette in the original stereo lol)

I found a picture of the Japanese family that owned mine in the sun visor and two coins under the carpet when cleaning

Corking :D

We had a Japanese lady talk to us every time we turned the ignition on (Toll system). Amusing at first, but quickly unplugged...

We have also found Japanese parking receipts and other bits of paperwork. Lends to the history a bit :)

Yeah Spiky I agree it gives the Bongo a sense of having lived a life mine, came from The Isle of Wight and I sent the previous owner I postcard from the Bongo saying having a nice time on the mainland etc and being looked after  hope she has a sense of humor
