Fuel gauge problems

Post by grantk » Wed Aug 19, 2009 11:54 am

I'm having problems with my fuel gauge. It has an intermittent fault. I fill up and the gauge shows empty. After about 60 miles or so it shows half full and then steadily drops to the empty mark as I drive. Since this stated happening I reset my trip meter rather than rely on the gauge. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks.

Common problem, comes up on a regular basis, easy fix, this thread explains all with pics - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... =3&t=33920
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
