Hi
Does anyone else have problems with the rocker switch that drives the mirrors into their park position? mine seems to work only intermittently, my switch also latches rather than springing back when released is this correct. I am sure it is a problem with the switch rather than the motors or gearing in the mirrors because when it doesn't work there is no whirring or noise coming from the mirrors. Has anyone had this switch to bits?
Thanks
Rick

Re: Wing mirror switch
Not aware of anyone having problems with the switch itself, usually with the mirrors, sometimes due to the wiring between the door & body causing intermittent problems, on that basis, if it is the switch at fault, it should be easy & cheap enough to get a replacement.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Hi Rick,
Yes the rocker switch does latch down to close, up to open the mirrors...
But only when the ignition is on.. (Or primary ignition.)
It might have some bearing that the cigarette lighter socket & radio are all on the same circut as the mirrors.
Yes i have had the switch in bits... But only after i fried the PCB fitting a closure unit!
(But that's another story.)
I did manage to re solder the board & have had no more trouble...

Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...
