parking pole
Hi all, can anyone solve this puzzle? I have a telescopic parking ariel on my front bumper. on the dashboard I have a corner guide switch for it (which is connected and lights up when main lights are on) but nothing happens when I press it. is there a separate fuse for this switch? anyone got anything similar to this?
cheers

Re: parking pole
my telescopic parking pole has stayed in the bumper since I got her nearly 3 years now - I have a switch which does nothing and from asking questions on here it seems that some are disconnected during transit from japan just leave it alone and get used to parking without it... what you aint got you aint gonna miss

Be nice to everyone they might be nice back.

If you can get it to work, there are a few members here who would be happy to hear from you.

Re: parking pole
My parking pole has a tiny green light on the end, which comes on with the main lights, but we didn't even notice that it lit up ,for a while, because it is so small. I don't know how it lights, as it doesn't seem to unscrew to change a bulb. Could the light be redirected from the main lights ???.I am no Technie person, so I have no idea.
Never seen a switch, but I am going to have another look, as there is a few switches that Jimmy can't work out.

Not the lighting up that he's asking about Annaoshkosh wrote:Hi all, can anyone solve this puzzle? Is it not possible to trace the wiring? As Anna brings up - any switches fitted that do nowt? check & see if it's been disconnected, if that doesn't yield results can you not just run a new feed & switch?
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
Re: parking pole
Just a random thought.. maybe it's only supposed to work when the side lights are on?

What we need here is someone who's working on the bongo wiring systems as we speak (ish) Are you out there Geoff?

Re: parking pole
thanks for the reply guys, I have tried to trace the wiring without much success and I have (up untill now) done what aitch has said .'just leave it, what you haven't got you don't miss'.
but its one of those niggling things where you just want to see it work as I've been told about the parking light and its curiosity killing the cat!
