Hi, I've central locking and a remote key fob but it's starting to play up. The "unlock" button always works but the "lock" hardly ever does. Can I get a replacement remote cheaply or do I need to get the whole system rewired? Any advice/experience appreciated.

This is going to sound dodgy but it definitely works on mine - every time, and from any position.

Same problem - unlocks but sometimes don't lock.

When you are trying to lock it, and it doesn't work, press the 'unlock' button first and then the 'lock' button. Bingo

To be honest, I am not really interested in the how and why side of it. Try it - don't cost anything.
