Steering Fluid Leak

Post by Retro Bates » Thu Jul 30, 2009 11:01 pm

I have had a leak detected in the system. It is at the point where the steering column meets the rack. Looking at the manual, i can see an oil seal, which I guess needs replacing. Where can i get this seal from?

Any mazda dealer, or someone was selling the kit on ebay for around £30, I don't think you can buy the seal singly.
Still got to do mine, slowed the leak down hugely with some leak stop stuff, but it still needs topping up a bit every 1500 miles or so.
Apparantly Wheelquick have managed to do this in situ in an hour or so.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
