Head Lights

Thanks Alex
Thanks Alex
Re: Head Lights
3rd fuse on (30 amp) under the bonnet is the head lights, the fuse box with just 4 fuses in

Re: Head Lights
Ok tried new fuses and new bulbs.... Still not working!!! Help I'm supposed to be tourring Scotland next week!
Thanks Alex
Thanks Alex
Re: Head Lights
Hmmn, possible relay problem, there located around the battery, either behind or at the side of the inner wing, passenger side.
Try swapping them around to see if it fixes the lights, then you know it is the relay

Re: Head Lights
H270 relays if I mind right, Most under the bonnet are the same so as waycar8 says swap around to test.
Location of some of my relays..... they can vary bongo to bongo.

Relay out of it's cover.

To remove relay, you just slide/pull it down.

Re: Head Lights
Not sure but they could be a standard type of relay, take it to Halfords or a proper motor factor/auto electrical shop?
Re: Head Lights
you hould be able to get a replacement from any good car shop or you could email the breaker who advertie on here or email people on ebay who are breaking bongos

Re: Head Lights

Re: Head Lights
Hi Alex86
I've got the same problem but for my factory fit front fogs and after checking the fuses etc and switch I think it must be the H270 relay as posted in previous topics, however it doesn't seem that easy to get hold of one, several phone calls this pm to no avail..if you get any luck in locating a supplier please update?
Many thanks - believe it or not there was fog in Devon yesterday (albeit on Dartmoor) hence I discovered that they didnt work!

Re: Head Lights
Hi Alex glad you got it sorted and the price was fair, when I saw them previously they were dearer than that, Colin

Re: Head Lights
It seems stupid, even to me as an ex bobby that whilst a motor vehicle is being driven on the road, all lights fitted to the vehicle must be in working order, even in daylight. A constable in uniform can stop any vehicle and check your lights, even in the day. If they don't work, its just cost you £30! This even means lights that you may have fitted yourself,i.e fog lights, spotlights etc. Be afraid,be very afraid...
