Post by Gaza69 » Mon Jul 27, 2009 2:45 pm

hi, i have done some searches on here, but find it all a bit confusing. :?

i have a:

Does anyone know the code for the NGK ones for mine please? [-o<

sorry if its been asked before but i seem to be getting mixed answers, the sites i have searched on throw up the long and short glow plugs, does mine take both or is it a good thing i have asked the experts?? :?

Most take the 83mm plugs, but some were fitted with 102mm plugs because of a shortage of the 83mm at the time of manufacture. You won't know until you take them out #-o
You can fit the 83mm ones, to a 102mm engine, by either fitting spacers or slightly bending the fuel pipes to the injectors - just make sure the fuel pipes don't make contact with the glow plug rail.

i called bongobits today about the ngk glow plugs, they said they they sell only one size, the 85ml ish ones to all the bongos.

i have measured mine to be the longer 102ml ones, will it make a difference to swap them for the shorter ones?
